An aid worker kidnapped and subsequently released by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram revealed after her return that Leah Sharibu, the Nigerian girl kidnapped in February of 2018, is alive and well.
Boko Haram abducted Jennifer Ukambong Samuel, a worker for Action for International Medical Alliance, in December and released her after negotiations with the government. Samuel said she met another abductee of the organization who claimed that Sharibu was alive and hidden in an undisclosed location.
Sharibu, a Christian, was kidnapped by Boko Haram nearly two years ago at age 16. She was reportedly denied a return to freedom because she refused to convert to Islam.
