The remains of 2,411 aborted babies were buried and memorialized at an Indiana cemetery Wednesday after being found by the family of late abortion doctor Ulrich Klopfer last year.

The memorial service was held February 12 at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana, and was streamed live by pro-life groups such as the Susan B. Anthony List.

Republican Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill spoke during the graveside service.

"Each of these 2,411 was a life — a life that was terminated — and each deserves to be secure in a final resting place, with dignity and respect, as should be afforded all human beings. May each of the 2,411 buried here, now and forever, rest in peace," Hill said.

Local authorities discovered 2,246 aborted babies remains in Klopfer's garage in Illinois last September.

The next month, the remains of another 165 babies were found inside the trunk of Klopfer's Mercedes Benz. Investigators believe all the babies were aborted between 2000 and 2003.
