A reparations activist and a professor at the University of California is reportedly being tapped by the Biden team to be a member of his Department of Treasury agency review team.

Mehrsa Baradaran, a professor at the University of California's Irvine School of Law, is the author of "The Color of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap" and has previously advocated for reparations for black Americans as a way of closing the racial wealth gap.

Baradaran has also previously helped Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg with policy proposals to close the racial wealth gap.

Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris repeatedly dodged questions about reparations during their campaign. The campaign did not respond to the report.
