At least 620 Nigerian Christians have been killed by Fulani radicals and Islamic terrorists so far in 2020, according to a recent report from a Nigerian civil society organization.
A report from the International Society for Civil Liberties & Rule of Law released Thursday says that militant Fulani herdsmen and terrorists affiliated with Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province have "intensified their anti-Christian violence."
Fulani radicals have killed more than 470 Christians in the first four-and-a-half months of 2020 and 140 Christians between the beginning of April until May 14. The Boko Haram has reportedly killed 150 Christians since January.
"The atrocities against Christians have gone unchecked and risen to alarming apogee with the country's security forces and concerned political actors looking the other way or colluding with the Jihadists," the organization said. "...Houses burnt or destroyed during the period are in their hundreds; likewise dozens of Christian worship and learning centers."
Intersociety projects that, by the end of 2020, no fewer than 32,000 Christians will have been killed in Nigeria since 2009.
? International advocacy groups have raised concerns that violence against Nigerian Christians has been raised to the level of genocide.
