Kanye West has reportedly backed out of his 2020 presidential election bid, according to a new report.
The resignation comes fewer than two weeks after West announced on Twitter that he was running for president.
A report from the Intelligencer said Steve Kramer, a "get-out-the-vote" specialist, confirmed West's exit from the campaign.
Kramer, who had originally been hired to help West get on the ballot in Florida and South Carolina, said West's team had been "working over weekend there, formalizing the FEC and other things that they've got to do when you have a lot of corporate lawyers involved" before West suddenly ended the campaign.
Kramer said he had nothing good or bad to say about the rapper.
"Everyone has their personal decision about why they make decisions. Running for president has to be one of the hardest things for someone to actually contemplate at that level," Kramer said.
