According to a Reuters national poll released on Thursday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is now tied with former Vice President Joe Biden for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination among registered voters.
The online poll revealed that 20 percent of registered Democrats and independents said they were committed to backing Sanders over the other 11 candidates running against President Trump.
Sanders' recent feud with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who said that Sanders told her a woman could not win the White House, did not appear to affect his standing, which saw a two percent increase from a similar poll last week.
Since mid-December, both Sanders and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg have seen their support steadily increase over the past three Reuters polls.
The poll also showed that 19 percent support Biden, 12 percent support Warren, nine percent support Bloomberg, and six percent support former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg.
