Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized Tuesday with an infection, the U.S. Supreme Court said.
Ginsburg, 87, underwent non-surgical treatment at John Hopkins Hospital on Tuesday for acute cholecystitis, which is benign inflammation of the gall bladder, a spokesperson said in a statement.
"The justice is resting comfortably," the spokesperson said.
Ginsburg, a four-time cancer survivor, is expected to remain in the hospital for another day or two. She will participate in oral arguments on Wednesday morning from her hospital room.
? Ginsburg's health has been in the spotlight, since her death or retirement could give President Trump a third Supreme Court pick.
