Sanders leads Dem field by 13 points as Biden craters, Bloomberg surges: NBC/WSJ poll

Another national poll shows Bernie Sanders with a commanding double-digit lead, this time with the last NBC/WSJ poll, released Tuesday, indicating that the Democratic Socialist has opened up a 13-point lead over the rest of the field, coming in with 27 percent support.

Meanwhile, previous frontrunner Joe Biden continues his freefall, cratering 11 points in one month to land at 15 percent, and new contender Mike Bloomberg, the billionaire former mayor of New York City who has been spending hundreds of millions on his campaign, jumped 5 points to 14 percent support.

Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg join Biden and Bloomberg for a virtual tie for second place in the new poll.

The poll numbers are as follows:

  • Bernie Sanders: 27%
  • Joe Biden: 15%
  • Michael Bloomberg: 14%
  • Elizabeth Warren: 14%
  • Pete Buttigieg: 13%
  • Amy Klobuchar: 7%
  • Tom Steyer: 2%
  • Tulsi Gabbard: 1%
