Singer Demi Lovato recently posted and then deleted an apology to her Instagram account expressing regret for writing about her recent trip to Israel.

The singer, known for her struggles with substance abuse, posted an account of a trip to Israel in which she was baptized in the Jordan River.

“I’m grateful for…the opportunity to be able to fill the God-sized hole in my heart,” Lovato said in her post.

When some users responded by criticizing Lovato, she issued an apology from her Instagram account, expressing sorrow for “hurt[ing] or offended[ing] anyone.” She subsequently deleted the apology post.
