T-Mobile's highly anticipated 5G network launched Monday, four days ahead of schedule.

The corporation's 5G service is reportedly not as quick as that of its rival Verizon, but has better range. If the T-Mobile-Sprint merger finalizes, T-Mobile will add Sprint's 5G spectrum (2.5 GHz), boosting speeds significantly.

T-Mobile's CEO said the tech giant is "committed to building broad, deep, nationwide 5G." The company has an estimated 200 million users.

Mobile devices with 5G capabilities are currently limited. No iPhone model, for instance, currently comes equipped with 5G.

🔦 5G technologies may vastly outstrip current wireless data systems. Some experts say 5G may be up to 100 times faster than 4G.
