A pair of real estate photographers were the victims of highway robbery Friday in San Francisco – literally. The incredible scene was captured by a Tesla dashboard camera of a trailing motorist named Alex, who later uploaded the video to social media.

In the video, the victims' car is stalled in a traffic back-up, waiting to enter an interstate on-ramp. A black car pulls up behind them, strategically angled to be able to speed away after the heist. One of the black car's occupants hops out, smashes the back window of the victims' vehicle, reaches in and yanks out a black bag.

Before the victims can even get out of their car, the thief is back in the getaway vehicle and his partner speeds off.

The victims said they had been followed by the robbers since leaving an earlier photo shoot. A crowdfunding page was established for the couple who claimed to have lost nearly $7,000 in photography equipment.
