Jayme Wooley, a sophomore at Axtell High School near Waco, Texas, bought 170 roses and gifted one to every girl in his high school "so they feel special."

"Over the past couple of years that I've been at Axtell, not all of the girls were able to get flowers," Wooley told CNN. "It felt heartbreaking knowing that not every girl was feeling special."

One of the recipients, Kennedi Sherrill, said Wooley accomplished his mission: "He handed me a flower and I thought it was really special because not everyone gets a flower on Valentine's Day."

After his kind gesture, Wooley was chosen as the school's "student of the week."

"Thank you all so very much for the kind words!!!" Wooley's mother wrote on Facebook. "I know I have questioned several moments in my life wondering if I'm raising my kids right and praying along the way! Today my son taught me more then I could ever teach him!! I am so beyond proud of him!!! ❤️"
