Garret A. Miller of Texas was arrested and charged Wednesday on allegations he invaded the Capitol building during the January 6 riot and threatened to assassinate Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and a Capitol Police officer.

Miller recorded his participation in the Capitol riot, posting his exploits on Twitter and Facebook. Photos show Miller, along with other rioters, pushing past police officers to enter the Capitol building. He also appeared to have replied to a tweet from Ocasio-Cortez the same day, saying "Assassinate AOC."

A week later, Miller said in a Facebook discussion that the officer who fatally shot rioter Ashley Babbitt was "not going to survive long" and "deserve[d] to die... so its [sic] huntin' season."

Miller's first court appearance was on Friday and a detention hearing is scheduled for Monday.
