The Trump 2020 campaign announced on Monday that it would no longer distribute press credentials to Bloomberg News journalists for campaign events, claiming that the organization is inherently biased in favor of Democrats and against the Republican incumbent's bid for re-election.

Citing longstanding policy, Bloomberg News announced late last month that it would not investigate Michael Bloomberg during his run for the presidency; it would also extend that same privilege to Bloomberg's Democratic rivals.

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said on Monday that the news org had "declared [its] bias openly" and that the campaign would refrain from issuing press credentials until Bloomberg reversed its decision.
