President Trump has formally changed his permanent residence from New York to Florida, citing poor treatment from politicians in the state that raised him. Trump tweeted his sentiments late last night:
“I cherish New York, and the people of New York, and always will, but unfortunately, despite the fact that I pay millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes each year, I have been treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state. Few have been treated worse.”
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo struck back at the news of Trump’s change in residency with a less-than regretful tone.
Trump has spent 99 days at his Florida resort since becoming president, while he’s spent only 20 days at Trump Tower.
