After the long delay in Iowa caucus results, which media outlets are describing as a "chaotic," "embarrassing" "meltdown," President Trump took to Twitter to declare himself the winner of the Democratic contest.
Trump also called the caucus an "unmitigated disaster," saying, "Nothing works, just like they ran the country."
"The only person that can claim a very big victory in Iowa last night is 'Trump'," the president said.
Trump also retweeted a conservative pundit's sarcastic take, which said, "No, but seriously, let us run your healthcare," as well as a GIF portraying the Iowa caucuses as a dumpster fire.
Brad Parscale, Trump's campaign manager, added:
"Democrats are stewing in a caucus mess of their own creation with the sloppiest train wreck in history. It would be natural for people to doubt the fairness of the process. And these are the people who want to run our entire health care system?
Tonight President Trump posted a record performance in the well-run GOP Iowa caucuses with record turnout for an incumbent."
