Immediately after ending his speech Monday evening on the protests sweeping the country, President Trump left the White House and walked across the street to visit a historic church burned by rioters.
Trump was visiting St. John's Church, which was set on fire by rioters Sunday night. The church, consecrated in 1816, is considered a National Historic Landmark. It has been visited by every president since James Madison.
In front of the church the president held up a Bible and delivered remarks:
