After a massive explosion rocked Beirut, killing dozens and injuring thousands, President Trump told the press that he's "met with some of our great generals" and they believe it was a deliberate attack — "a bomb of some kind."

"This was not some kind of a manufacturing explosion kind of event. This was a — it seems to be, according to them; they would know better than I would — but they seem to think it was an attack, it was a bomb of some kind, yes."

Dozens have been confirmed dead and thousands injured after the massive explosion ripped through Lebanon's capital city. Among the deceased is reportedly the leader of a political party. The blast also reportedly did "considerable damage" to the presidential palace.

Videos of the devastating blast and its aftermath circulated on social media.
