Rapper Lil Wayne made waves Thursday, posting a picture with President Trump and offering a full-throated endorsement for the president's reelection campaign.

Wayne praised Trump's track record on issues like the passage of criminal justice reform, and said he believes the president's "Platinum Plan" will "give the community real ownership."

The Platinum Plan, a joint effort between the president's team and activists like Ice Cube, plans to pour about half a trillion dollars into black communities. The objective is to improve education and job opportunities in inner-city communities.

Trump has also made inroads with other leading black voices. Though Ice Cube stopped short of endorsing Trump, rappers like Lil Pump and 50 Cent said they supported the president, although 50 Cent later backed off his endorsement.
