Fundraising for the president's reelection in November pulled in a gargantuan sum during the month of January, raising more than $60 million to make a total of $200 million cash-on-hand for the 2020 reelection effort.

The number is double the amount that the Barack Obama reelection campaign had at the same time during the 2012 campaign.

Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, said the organization has "500,000 volunteers trained and activated" ahead of the elections.

🔦 Trump received major fundraising and volunteer boosts in the wake of the failed Democratic effort to remove him from office.
