Former President Donald Trump released a Thursday statement condemning pro-basketball star LeBron James's reaction to the officer-involved shooting in Ohio this week, calling the athlete's language "divisive" and "racist."

"LeBron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest television RATINGS, by far, in the long and distinguished history of the League," said Trump. "His RACIST rants are divisive, nasty, insulting, and demeaning. He may be a great basketball player, but he is doing nothing to bring our Country together!"

🔦 James had come under intense criticism following his initial reaction to the police shooting of an armed teenager in Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday. James shared a picture of the officer involved with a threatening message, then deleted the tweet hours later.
