Trump surprises Little League champs with ride home on Air Force One

President Donald Trump surprised the 2019 Little League world champions by inviting them at the last minute to fly home to Louisiana with him aboard Air Force One after their White House visit Friday.

Trump had a rally in the state Friday evening.

“Today, the President welcomed the team to the Oval Office along with North Carolina’s Rowan Little League Softball Team,” Deputy Press Secretary Steven Groves said in a statement. “During their visit in the Oval Office, the President invited the Louisiana team to fly to Louisiana with him this evening.”

Rep. Steve Scalise tweeted about the surprise invitation, along with a picture of himself and the 12-year-old sluggers:
