The rapper Zuby announced on Thursday that he has been suspended from Twitter for tweeting "Ok dude" at a male who identifies as a female, a response the company deemed "hateful."

Zuby posted the news to his Instagram account.

"I've been temporarily locked out of Twitter for tweeting 'OK dude' in response to someone," Zuby wrote.

He included a photo of the ban notice, in which Twitter warned him against "promot[ing] violence against, threaten[ing] or harass[ing] people."

The rapper said he has appealed the decision.
