On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris gave a belly laugh when asked if she was planning to visit the U.S.-Mexico border where tens of thousands of migrants have attempted entry into the country in recent weeks.
As the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border has turned into a humanitarian crisis, both Biden and Harris, as well as key administration officials, have come under increased scrutiny for their handling of the escalating situation.
President Biden was asked Sunday when he would make the trip. Like Harris, he demurred, saying that he would do so "at some point."
Since Biden's inauguration, border migrations have increased to levels unseen in two decades.
