A disgruntled Costco shopper recorded himself getting kicked out of the wholesale retailer for refusing to adhere to the store's rules that require members to wear face masks while shopping.
When confronted by a Costco employee identified as Tison, the shopper started filming, telling Tison he would put the video on his "3,000-follower Instagram feed."
Tison looked directly at the camera and introduced himself.
"Hi everyone. I work for Costco and I'm asking this member to put on a mask because that is our company policy," he said.
After the shopper responded "I'm not doing it, because I woke up in a free country," Tison grabbed the customer's shopping cart and asked him to leave.
"Sir, have a great day. You are no longer welcome here in our warehouse," he said. "You need to leave. Thank you very much."
The shopper uploaded the video online before quickly removing it after scores of commentators praised the Costco employee for enforcing the store's policy.
The video has been reposted on several media accounts, where it has amassed more than 5.2 million views.
