Striking video circulated on Monday shows the husband of Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey pointing a gun at activists on his property, ordering them off his porch and saying he will shoot them.
The Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter released the video yesterday, showing David Lacey opening the door and brandishing a large handgun at BLM protesters, who were there to oppose Jackie Lacey's reelection to the district attorney's office. Activists were asking her to come outside for a face-to-face meeting prior to Tuesday's primaries.
In the video, David Lacey tells those gathered outside of his door: "Get off of my porch. I will shoot you. Get off of my porch. I don't care who you are." He then tells the activists that he is calling the police.
KCAL CBS Channel 9 Los Angeles reported that protesters were in the driveway with banners, signs, bullhorns, and chairs.
Jackie Lacey later apologized for the altercation. Local police are reportedly investigating the incident.
