In a tense exchange moments after the end of the Democratic debate on Tuesday night, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) accused Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) of calling her a liar on national television. Sanders said they should not talk about it at that moment.

Although the live exchange was aired without audio, CNN later found the audio its microphones had picked up.

After the end of the debate, Warren declines shaking Sanders' hand. The two senators then have an exchange before Sanders appears to throw his hands up and walk away.

Warren: "I think you called me a liar on national TV."

Sanders: "What?"

Warren: "I think you called me a liar on national TV."

Sanders: "You know, let's not do it right now. If you want to have that discussion, we'll have that discussion."

Warren: "Anytime."

Sanders: "You called me a liar. You told me — all right, let's not do it now."

Spokespeople from both campaigns declined to comment on the audio.

🔦 Warren recently claimed that Sanders said a woman could not win the White House.
