Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has pulled ahead of Joe Biden in another poll, signaling again that the comparatively inexperienced senator is Biden’s top contender for the 2020 nomination.
Warren overtook Biden by a percentage point in a recent IBD/TIPP poll:
- Warren polled at 27%
- Biden at 26%
- Bernie Sanders at 10%
- Pete Buttigieg at 7%
- No other candidate polled more than 3%
In a Quinnipiac poll late last month, Warren held a two-point lead over Biden.
Warren has also greatly out-earned Biden during the third quarter, raising $24.6 million to Joe Biden’s $15.2 million.
🔦 The Democratic presidential race has largely been a contest between Biden, an experienced and seasoned Washington veteran, and Warren, whose very progressive policies have endeared her to younger voters.
