With the Super Bowl behind us and the NFL draft ahead, no doubt that many pro football scouts will be taking a look at Phyllis Pena to fill any holes their teams have at linebacker.
Phyllis is the Lake Jackson, Texas, mom who recently saw a peeping Tom looking in her 15-year-old daughter's window early in the morning. When the man, later identified as 19-year-old Zane Hawkins, ran away, Pena called the police.
Upon responding to the scene, police located the suspect, but he took off on foot before making a catastrophic mistake. He unwisely ran in the direction of mama bear. Pena took the perfect angle and completed a textbook tackle, driving Hawkins to the ground. Her daughter helped hold the voyeur on the ground until police caught up.
"The cop fist-bumped me and he was like, ‘Hey, so I heard the Texans are looking for a new linebacker,'" Pena said laughing before adding, "My kids are my life and just making sure I protect them."
The perfect form tackle caught the attention of a number of impressed football fans on social media who shared hilarious breakdowns of her all-star open field tackle.
