Consumers who have been critical of Apple's higher price tags in the past will want to avoid its newly released Mac Pro. With all the upgrades, Apple's new release costs more than $50,000.
The Mac Pro is Apple's top-of-the-line professional computer console. It is meant for users who desire, in Apple's words, "extreme performance, expansion, and configurability."
At entry level it costs a steep $5,999. The tech website CNET determined that, with all the upgrades — including a whopping 1.5 terabytes of memory and a 28-core Intel processor — the whole machine can cost more than $50,000.
That price does not include a display system or any additional software.
