In a move that raised eyebrows, the White House suddenly cut the feed of a virtual event immediately after President Joe Biden said he would be "happy to take questions."
Biden, accompanied by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and the House Democratic Caucus, addressed his party's lawmakers on COVID-19 relief and the ongoing vaccine rollout. After concluding his remarks, Biden appeared to open up the event for questions.
"I'd be happy to take questions if that's what I'm supposed to do, Nance," Biden said to Pelosi. "Whatever you want me to do."
After a brief pause, the feed abruptly ended.
Biden rarely takes questions, and when he does, they are often only taken by pre-selected reporters.
