The Washington Redskins, one of the NFL teams that attended free agent Colin Kaepernick's rescheduled workout on November 16, have signed one of the receivers who participated in the event.
The Redskins announced Wednesday that they had signed wide receiver Jordan Veasy to their practice squad. Veasey credits Kaepernick's workout for giving him the opportunity:
"It helped. That's one of the reasons I wanted to be a part of it. Just being a part of the history of it, and I knew it was going to help me."
🔦 Approximately three weeks have passed and Kaepernick has yet to receive a call from an NFL team. The Detroit Lions, who were in desperate need of a quarterback last weekend, snubbed the controversial QB and signed two relatively unknown players from other teams' practice squads.
