The woman who briefly found herself the target of a bizarre Joe Biden fusillade in New Hampshire told media on Monday that the experience of being called a "lying dog-faced pony soldier" was "kind of humiliating."

21-year-old Madison Moore had asked the Democratic presidential candidate at a New Hampshire political event if he had the momentum to carry his candidacy to the White House after a disastrous showing in the Iowa caucuses. When Biden asked her if she had ever been to a caucus before and she responded yes, he shot back, apparently in jest: "No you haven't. You're a lying, dog-faced pony soldier."

Moore later said that it was "kind of humiliating to be called a liar on national TV by the former vice president." She disagreed with Biden's claim that it was meant to be a joke.

Remarking on her sudden national celebrity, Moore told The Telegraph on Monday: "If I had expected that, I would've worn makeup."
