More conspicuous than the fact that there is a presidential impeachment trial going on right now is the fact that nobody cares that there is a presidential impeachment trial going on right now. And here is one of the main reasons why:
Does there exist a more unabashed partisan than Adam Schiff? Or a politician more obviously desperate for renown and perceived glory? Or a "pUbLiC sErVaNt" who has told more proven lies throughout this impeachment process?
Over and over again Schiff repeats things about the president that are, to the objective observer, not criminal, not impeachable, and driven by contempt. You don't have to be a die-hard Trump homer to see that Democrats do not have the impeachment goods they said they had, and they knew from the get-go that this was going nowhere in the Senate, so they set out to stage a production, a spectacle to tarnish the president and the GOP while signaling their own virtue.
This is clear, even to ordinary Americans like myself.
Yet the liberal media, with its high level of self-importance and low level of self-awareness, acts like each boring, fanciful, inconsequential monologue is the newest iteration of the "I Have a Dream" speech.
- "A virtuoso performance"?
- "Speaking to 100 years in the future"?
- "A speech that kids are going to be given in 2060"?
- "His mastery of this material is formidable?"
- "He called on our better angels?"
- "A speech really aimed at the better angels"?
- "A stunning recitation of the facts"?
Have they watched five minutes of Schiff speaking?
Watch that video above again and see if it doesn't remind you of a mom trying to get her baby to eat some disgusting pea-and-carrot puree by tasting a dab and saying "Mmmmmm this is gooooooood!"
Schiff keeps saying nothing, and the Democrats' media linemen keep carrying him around on their shoulders as if he's Rudy and he just made the sack at the end of the game.
None of them can be trusted. And they're taking us for fools. And it's obvious.
This is why nobody cares about the impeachment trial.
